War and Peace
by Geetika Sodhi Lohan
(Ghaziabad, India)
I see the black, I see the dark,
Not a single light's mark,
No skies seem visible nor the seas,
In this smoke of war and no peace.
A human Soul is the killer of the other,
No one thinks of the child who has lost his mother,
Why need those dignitaries bother
Of who's lost a son and who a father.
Their fate is to kill and so they will,
To sustain their position they do need kill
Kill even those innocent souls who awaited still,
In their mother's womb with a beautiful will,
Will to see the world outside,
To see a heaven where no one cried,
To see a land where no one died,
To see that God wasn't tried,
I wish someday there would be no black no dark,
I wish I would not have to chase the light's mark,
I wish beautiful skies be reflected by seas,
I wish there would be no war but peace only peace !!
(Dedicated to all innocent souls who lost their lives in wars of power and position)
