Did your hands soak in blood?
Trying to save me
Like Tabrizi
did your instincts ever crave me?
Did you ever become a tide roaring to save the calm of my sunsets?
Or did you hunt for validation and
throw me to bets?
Did you take out time to make me feel aware
and embraced?
Or did you leave me suffering and
chose silence and feelings untraced?
When did I say I wanted a love
that was flawless and perfect?
All I wanted was an undivided love
choosing all of me imperfect
Tell me did you shout to pull me back
when noise filled my ears?
Did you hold me when I was drowning in tears?
Which love is this that looks like entitlement
That watches me suffer like an audience
seeking entertainment?
Sitting at those heights
where world looks small
You humiliate love, you break it
you make it fall
And was your love strong enough to protect my dignity For all those years
I spent being sick did you show integrity
And another day gone
I searched for love you claimed
You never had it in you
And the world you blamed
The day you fall in love
You will not be able to hurt her
You will save her protect her
You won’t throw her to hounds
you won’t dirt her
The last page of this tale
Is immersed in my blood
In my stripped naked body
In an almighty defeated and drowned in a flood
You will know love when time will bring you down
Till then you will make a joker of the one you love and stay yourself a pleasing clown!
