The Reverie
by Maniparna Sengupta Majumder
(Kolkata, India)
The sky stooped to conquer the distant foliage
The wind blowing was chilly but dry
All of a sudden went awry
I was missing your sunshine, those mystic gaze.
That ardent desire that passionate zeal
That unsought agony , I tasted grief
The sharp pangs made me stiff
I could feel you ! woe or weal
As in a reverie I was until
A canorous sound made me feel
You lie within my deep heart’s core
That’s my belief that’s my lore.
