Surreal Dream
by Moumita Bhaumik
(Kolkata, West Bengal, India)
In the shadow of my conscious mind
I am treading in a blissful wind
Beside the rippling brook
In the garden of red roses,
Drizzling in rain;
I am walking inside a beautiful terrain.
Far behind the roses
At the horizon
White tulips blossom
Enchanting me in this autumn.
As I walk down the rosy garden,
An euphoric pleasure in me
For the tulips strengthen.
The thorny bushes scratching my legs,
The blood oozes, causing a plague.
The unconscious shade of my conscious mind,
Brings me so far to the horizon’s end.
The white tulips turn to rosy red
I fear,
I walked into it with my bloody legs.
