My Mentor and I

My mentor and I
In timeless space
Together we stand
In karmic grace.
It isn’t a dream
Or a forbidden view
With no one in sight
Whom once I knew.
I feel no fear
I feel no pain
In empty loneliness
It’s “HIM” I gain.
That coward within
Peeps to steal a sight
To draw the strength
From his spirit’s delight.
He touches the soul
Embraces the past.
Takes all the blues
Of innocence lost.
Once more, I reclaim my life
And vow to shine through
I frame my life, with my spirit’s spark
Build my credit to smile through.
My mentor be my witness
I can touch the sky
With future in my power
Won’t let my grace dry.
