Mittu was a happy and loving dog. He lived in a small, peaceful village tucked away among the undulating hills. Mittu was a curly golden retriever with bright, curious eyes and a tail that never stopped wagging. He lived with his master whom he adored a lot. He was an old farmer who had raised Mittu since the day he discovered him as an abandoned pup on the road.

Every morning, Mittu would go with his master to the farm and watch him work in the field. He stayed there with him and returned home with his master. They shared a special bond —a loving look or a pat on his fur. That was enough for them to understand each other.

Like every morning, Mittu was eagerly waiting for his master's loving call, but it never happened. Then he reasoned that his master would probably come by his side and stroke on his fur. Instead, he saw a small crowd at home and heard the village doctor telling the neighbours that the farmer had passed away peacefully in his sleep. Mittu didn't understand where his master had gone or why he wouldn't wake up. He sat by his side, waiting patiently for the old man to open his eyes and stroke his fur. He found him missing his master at home.

Mittu was very upset and he spent most of his time beside his master's empty chair, with a fond hope that he would come back soon to love him. It continued for several days and weeks. The villagers felt pity for Mittu and took care of him, feeding him and giving him shelter, but Mittu hardly had anything. His heart longed for his loving master. He frequently visited the farm land hoping to find his master there.

One evening, as Mittu lay under a tree thinking of his loving master, he saw a young boy from the village playing with a wooden flute. He came closer to Mittu. Noticing the sadness in his eyes, the boy stroked his fur and sat beside him. "I know you're missing your loving master. I miss him too. He used to talk to me like my grandpa." He said with a pain.

After sitting there for a while, the boy got up, and said, "Why don't you come with me? I'll take care of you and you can be my friend."
The boy stroked his fur with love, but Mittu refused to go with him.

Whenever the boy and Mittu met, he continued inviting him to his house. Seeing the love and gentleness in his eyes, after several days, Mittu finally agreed to follow him to his house. The boy knew how much Mittu missed his master. He talked about the farmer every day and Mittu enjoyed listening about his master.

Gradually, Mittu and the boy became good friends.
