Long insolent memories hesitated to leave
So I left them, quietly near river rouge
Wrapped in a black velvet wedding frock
Clothed in the promises that remained adorned
Distantly leaving them to drown in this labyrinth love
Cautiously I once had hewed them
With the delusions of reminiscence
These beautiful sequins that rippled the silent stream
Parting a storm of feelings behind
I left the altar unwed
I left the altar, left those memories behind
Who knew, which of us would survive
Now they lay dead in the wake of time
And so is the soul in which once they thrived.
