Easy salads are easy to make. Salads are an important part of our meal. They are healthy and quite easy to prepare too. There are several types of salads. These are my favorites.
Carrot Salad
Ingredients required :
2 medium size carrots
2 tbsp. chopped pineapple
2 medium size onions
2 green chillies
1 tbsp. chopped coriander
Salt to taste.
Method of Preparation
Peel the carrots and cut them into small pieces. Grind them in the mixie for about 30-40 seconds. Remove them into a bowl.
Chop the onions into thin slices and add to the carrots.
Add the pineapple pieces too to the carrots.
Slice the green chillies, lengthwise, and cut into small pieces, and add to the carrots.
Mix all the ingredients together, and add chopped oregano leaves and coriander leaves as toppings.
Beet Root Salad
Ingredients required :
2 medium size Beet roots
1 medium size orange (not too sweet type)
2 medium size onions
2 green chillies
4 oregano leaves
1 tbsp. chopped coriander
Salt to taste.
Method of Preparation
Peel the beet roots and cut them into small pieces. Grind them in the mixie for about 20 seconds. Remove them into a bowl.
Chop the onions into thin slices and add to the beet roots.
Remove the seeds from the orange and add the pulp into beet roots.
Slice the green chillies, lengthwise, and cut into small pieces, and add to the beet roots.
Mix all the ingredients together, and add chopped oregano leaves and coriander leaves as toppings.
Note: Yogurt can be added to the above salads, to those who like.
