The wind invites such thoughts of joy
The scenes I see such pleasure
Sitting here watching the world pass by below
I can’t help but simply smile for all my treasures
A race is going on below
To get ahead, to lead
Each aspiring to be a winner so high
That they are getting lost in the madness, the greed
But they just don’t realize
What they all have lost in order to gain
How the smiles have been given up so simply so gladly
To take up all the pain
As I sit here watching the view
The swarming crowd below mocks my stare
They think what a fool I am to sit like this
I’m just too petty for their care
But I don’t need any of their pity
Or any sympathetic share
Because I’ve got something they’re all running from
True love, true joy and care
