My Parents
by Geetika Sodhi Lohan

I say no sometimes I tell them I can’t,
My parents never feel bad my happiness is all they want,
When I tell them 'am busy they always smile,
I might get lazy to meet them or to walk a mile,
When I meet others who say I am like their child,
The words are strong but the emotions are mild,
Others don’t understand when I say a no,
When I need them the most they let me go,
I then go back to my parents again,
All broken and shattered but they relieve my pain,
We get a world of words which are selfish and fake,
But only parents can put themselves at stake,
For others you are good when their times are bad,
But your parents love you even when you make them mad,
When someone tells me I love you I laugh,
You can't love me like them not even half,
When you are low every one leaves,
But your parents support and hold your sleeves,
They love you so much so straighten your crown,
Your parents are there and they’ll never let you drown,
Don’t hurt them ever with harsh words of stone,
Love your parents never leave them alone.
