Metamorphosis of Familiar Faces-4

by Gayathri Devi Dutt
(Bangalore, India)

Gobu

A majestic look and undying spirit
Perennially playful often seeking to flint

Super sensitive to sound all round
Would spill around a roaring sound

The rhythmic tone of the roar had a myriad meanings
Come back, don't go,take me out, & feed me eclectic
innings

The roar and it's size stamped the metaphor Lion
But deep inside a coward wouldn't fight or bite anyone

Chase the owner's car but would not enter though the door
opened
The bouncing energy and the sound vanished into an
oblivion
