Indian Lovers

Deep in the midnight
When the owl whooped
With the tweeting of the grasshopper
The two Indian lovers ran
Seeing back after every yard
Grasping each other’s hands
They left their village off
With a sack on their back
Moving towards the town
They waited for the bus
Still terror in their heart
They held each other's hands tight
Quickly picking the sack
And jumping in the bus
Enchanted by seeing new faces
They clasped out there hands again.
