Chenab rail bridge is the world's highest railway bridge. It is built over the Chenab river in Reasi district as a part of Indian railways' Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla Railway Link (USBRL) project.

The arch bridge runs between Bakkal and Kauri in the Reasi district, forming a crucial link from Katra to Banihal, costing Rs.30,000 crores. It will make commuting and transport of goods easier, boost tourism, and bring economic development to the region.
The construction work started in 2017 and completed in 2024. The bridge has a 2,015 km long approach road. Engineers took three years to build the arch of the bridge with the help of two giant cable cranes which had been installed on both banks of the Chenab, the Kauri end and the Bakkal end, according to a report in The Indian Express.
It is designed to withstand winds of up to 266 km/h and earthquakes of significant magnitude. and at a height of 359 meters.
